To continually enhance the role of the Tutong Town as the Commercial and Administrative Centre in line with the current development.

Objectives

• To improve the comfort and quality of life in the town by providing better facilities and services at competitives costs.
• To create a positive environment that is conducive to the development of economic and commercial activities especially for local entrepreneurs.
• To maintain Bandar Tutong as the Administrative Centre for Tutong District .

Towards achieving the objectives to:

• Improve the comfort and quality of life.
• Provide basic facilities and public utilities such as :
  • Network of roads leading to the town centre
  • Recreation Site and Children Playgrounds
  • Parking Spaces
  • Taxi and Bus Terminals
  • Facilities for Sports
  • Food Stalls
  • Public Phones
• Enhance the effort to beautify the surroundings with trees and greenery.
• Create a healthy and safe enviroment.
• Administer and enforce law and regulations.
• Identify and implement services that can be privatized or contracted-out.
• Create a positive enviroment.
• Maintain Tutong Town as a Commercial Centre as well as a Centre of Attractions.
• Become transit point for those who travel from Bandar Seri Begawan and Kuala Belait and Vice Versa.
• Provide opportunities for the locals to participate in the Commercial Sector.
• Diversity various commercial activities.
• Encourage the develpoment of commercial centres where entrepreneurs can set up business.
• Encourage move development projects.
• Enlarge the boundary of Tutong Town as a long term strategy.
• Speed up the process of issuing licenses and renovation approvals.
• Maintain Tutong Town as the centre of administration for Tutong District.
• Allocate more Government departments in their own buildings.
• Renovate Government quarters.
