VISAS:

Required by all except the following:

(a) nationals of countries referred to in the chart above, and of their overseas territories, except 1. nationals of Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovak Republic who do need a visa;
(b) nationals of Antigua & Barbuda, Argentina, The Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Brunei, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Iceland, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Qatar, Romania, St Lucia, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay and Vatican City;
(c) those in transit continuing their journey within 48 hours, except for those nationals who require special authorisation.

Note: For certain nationalities, authorisation will have to be obtained from Honduras before a visa can be issued.


PASSPORT REQUIRED:

Passport valid for six months from date of arrival required by all.

Note: It is advisable to have a return ticket, but not obligatory. However, visitors may be asked to prove how they plan to leave the country.

 

Types of visa: Tourist and Business (single-entry) (multiple-entry).

Validity: Single-entry: up to 90 days. Multiple-entry: up to one year. A visa extension may be obtained in Honduras at the Immigration Authorities for both tourism and business.

Application requirements:

(a) One passport-size photo.
(b) Valid passport.
(c) Completed application form.
(d) Fee, payable by cash or cheque but the visa will only be issued after the cheque has cleared.
(e) For postal applications, a self addressed, pre-paid courier envelope. Tourist: (a)-(e) and where possible,
(f) Return tickets and travel itinerary.
(g) Bank statements. Business: (a)-(e) and, (f) Company letters giving purpose of visit and confirming financial responsibility for the applicant.

Working days required: One to two, unless approval is needed from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Honduras, which can take up to 10 days.
